Can Opener, Coaster, and Drink Cover · Summer 2024 · MakerWorld Design Contest
A three-in-one 3D printed gadget that covers your drink, acts as a coaster, and helps open stubborn pop tabs. Designed for a MakerWorld summer design contest working with my mom's DSLR and DIY photo booth.

I designed this for the MakerWorld beach day contest. Bugs always swarm my drinks in summer, so I made a tool that covers the can, works as a coaster, and helps open the tab.
Hand-measured a soda can and modeled in Onshape. Compliant offset geometry clips over the rim. Tuned to fit both standard and slim cans. The lid doubles as a coaster since cans stack. The side hole is chamfered to pry up tabs, acting as a lever arm. Added grip ridges for PETG.
This was my first time publishing a model online. I learned end-to-end product design: modeling, precise measuring, photography, Canva graphics, and writing compelling descriptions. Seeing downloads and positive comments was incredibly rewarding.
